| Carol Gartland, Treasurer I live on Molokai with my husband Jim. I have always had an open heart for animals, especially cats. I have adopted many homeless and shelter cats While growing up in a small community in Oregon, I was fortunate to be able to raise rabbits, chickens, goats, dogs and cats. I learned early, how to care for and appreciate animals. My professional career included serving as an Executive Director of an advertising agency in Seattle, Washington for 10 years. After that, I decided to change pace and take my management and marketing ideas into a real estate career and I worked as a Broker in Washington for twenty one years. In 1990, we bought our home on Molokai and in 2000, we purchased the commercial property where Delmonte's plantation offices used to be, and is now the Kualapu'u Business Center. Currently , I continue to work in real estate, as well as manage the Kualapu'u Center and serve as the Treasurer for the Molokai Humane Society Board. I’m passionate that all animals should be treated humanely and gladly volunteer my time and help to this organization. |
