Fundraising:
* ASPCA Spay/Neuter Program. Official acceptance letter was received and
signed.  Application to PetSmart Charities was completed August 12, 2012 for
approximately $37,000 to cover equipment, supplies and training for ASPCA
program. We are still awaiting a response.

Clinic:
We got off to a good start with our new fiscal year. July was a busy month we were
able to get our anesthesia machine up and running again, but not having the
machine did impact the number of surgeries we were able to do. We spayed and
neutered 22 cats and 13 dogs, performed 56 exams, 17 recheck exams, and
gave 49 dog vaccines and 25 cat vaccines.  We sold 16 tick collars, 101 dog flea
pills, 17 Frontline Plus dog flea preventatives, 128 cat flea preventatives and 49
heartworm pills.  We collected 103 facility fees totaling $1030 and 20 donations at
the clinic totaling approximately $560.
We began carrying two new products this month, Profender and Certifect.
Profender sold for $10, is a topical medication used to treat tapeworms in cats
and Certifect, sold for $15, is a topical flea and tick treatment for dogs.

*We are scheduled to do a volunteer high volume spay and neuter program down
in Kalaupapa on September 12/13 with Dr. Eileen, Dr. Leianne, Dr. Brenda, and
Dr. Morgan.

Maui County Animal Welfare Coalition
*Met August 14, guest speakers were from the Department of Housing and
Human Concerns as well as Councilman Don Couch’s representative.

*The coalition is planning to be a part of the Maui County fair parade on Thursday
September 27. MoHS will be in the parade along with the other animal welfare
groups, we will be looking for volunteers to carry the banner and wear MoHS t-
shirts.
